Design partner program

Run one placement through it. Tell us where it breaks.

Slipstream is pre-launch. We are working with a small number of wholesale brokers and MGAs who want to shape it before it is finished — which means your objections change the product rather than going into a backlog.

What you get

  • No cost for the duration of the pilot
  • Weekly working sessions with the founders, not a success manager
  • Direct influence over what gets built next
  • Founding partner terms preserved at general availability
  • Priority access when we open more broadly

What we ask

  • One real placement, worked the way you would normally work it
  • One submission you would actually place — historical is fine
  • An hour a week, roughly, for six to eight weeks
  • Honest reactions, including the ones that are hard to hear

Tell us what you place.

A few questions, about two minutes. A founder reads and replies to every one — including the ones we are not the right fit for, where we will say so.

Or write to us directly at mhk127@rutgers.edu.

What happens next

From first email to first placement.

  1. 01

    You write

We reply within a couple of days, either with times to talk or with an honest note that we are not a fit yet.

  2. 02

    Thirty minutes

You walk us through how a placement actually moves at your firm. We show you the product against a live risk.

  3. 03

    Your room

We set up a placement room for your firm and seat whoever should be in it, including a carrier contact if you want one.

  4. 04

    Six to eight weeks

You work a placement in it. We meet weekly. What you hit gets fixed or gets explained.

Before you ask

The questions that come up first.

Can we put real client data in it?
Yes. A model reads every submission — that is what extraction and drafting are — and Slipstream sends them to Anthropic’s API on a paid workspace, whose terms do not use prompts or completions to train models. Which model read a given submission is recorded on that submission’s own audit row, so it is answerable from the placement’s record rather than from a policy page. What the model never does is decide: every term it drafts needs a person on your side to approve it, and that gate is three independent mechanisms in the database rather than a setting in the interface.
What does “design partner” actually mean?
You use it on a real workflow and tell us the truth about it. In exchange you get the founders’ time weekly and a direct line into what gets built. It is not a discounted licence and there is nothing to sign up front — we are trading access for candour.
What happens when the pilot ends?
You keep your rooms and the record in them. If you want to continue, founding partner terms carry over to general availability. If you do not, nothing happens — there is no auto-conversion and no invoice waiting at the end.
Do our carrier partners need to buy anything?
No. An underwriter joins a placement from a link you send, sees that placement and nothing else, and needs no procurement conversation. The product is bought by the side running the placement.
Who can see what we put in?
Access is per placement, never per organization. A firm sees the rooms it was invited to and nothing else, enforced by database policy rather than by an application filter. A room you were not invited to is indistinguishable from one that does not exist.
Can we get our data out, or have it deleted?
Out, yes — we will produce a complete extract of a room as JSON plus the original documents, on request. Deleted, no: the audit trail is append-only and refuses deletion including from us, and because every room-scoped table cascades from the room, a room cannot be deleted either. If your retention policy requires deletion on demand, tell us early — as it stands that is a genuine incompatibility rather than a setting we can change.
How far along is the product?
A working MVP that two firms can run a placement in: submission ingestion, a twenty-field shared slip, assistants on both sides, human approval with amendment, and the audit trail. It is not a finished product and the pilot is how it becomes one.
